[Harp-L] re: record your own practice



Several people noted that you need a good microphone to record your practice
sessions. If all you're recording is your harp through an amp, the Shure SM57
is an industry standard, usually costs about $90.00. It's virtually bullet
proof and it doubles as a pretty good male vocals mic (John Lennon and David
Bowie used them in the studio). Samson makes a USB mic ($80.00)that hooks
directly to your computer with no interface. The Harmony-Central reviews have
been favorable. Again, for recording practices it might be an option.Note you
would still need recording software.
