. . . been down this road a few times in the years of
playing with many bands. What to play, etc. Often my
fellow musicians are lost in their own heads and have
taken the turn down ego road forgetting or never
realizing why they are there and what they are getting
paid for.
Now this addresses if you are playing in a bar and not
true for some other situations. They hire a band to
get and keep a crowd there and buy drinks. That is how
the club makes the money to pay you. Your job is to
get and keep them dancing so they get thirsty and buy
more drinks.
