I carry two in my pedal board - Boss DM-2 and Line6 Echo Park
The Boss DM-2 is the best but they are pricey and only found on ebay. I like the Echo Park because of the various emulators like Tape delay. I don't use one or the other exclusively. If the DM-2 broke I wouldn't rush out to replace it though I would if I came across one at the right price. I had a Boss DD-6 that I used to carry for the looping effects but I don't have room in my board for it. Same goes for the Line 6 dd4 modeler which I thought was pretty cool.
