Re: [Harp-L] Re: Harp-L Digest, Vol 25, Issue 29, Bachman meets Froggy

I'll add this only because it's pertinent - these guys (Froggy and the "other" Nico - 'Lasso Nick" Moreau) are trying to make it in this country as traveling musicians and are depending *greatly* on the generosity of others.

I had Lasso Nick staying with me for a week and a half. He was the epitome of a good guest - asked nothing, stayed out of the way, cleaned up after himself, etc. We had a blast, traveling up to Penn State to catch a football game and hang out and party with my daughter and her friends, busking until 3:30am in the street for cash and lots of free beer, going to my local blues jam and out to philly to the jam at Warmdaddy's, having a small but pretty wild pool/jam party in my yard with our own Rick Smith (guitar/harp) and John Merx (harp/drums), and my son and his buddy on drums, much to the neighbors' chagrin, haha. He blew folks away at each locale (pretty good for 19), and I learned from him so it was a lot of fun. We had dinner with my sisters and their kids and my mom and it was a good cultural experience for the kids (not to mention my mom appreciating the help in picking out a wine for dinner, haha).

I'm sure it's the same deal with Froggy, as folks are saying. These guys are buddies but don't always travel together (Froggy was in San Diego and/or Milwaukee when Lasso Nick was with me). If you have the chance to put them up, I can recommend doing so.
