Re: [Harp-L] Historical perspective of harp-l

Given the vast store of shared knowledge in the harp-l archive, it would be
great to be able to access it easily. For example, a Google like search
capability, which returns pre-calculated results, would help unlock this
resource. Perhaps one could download the whole lot (is it possible to do
this?), then get Google to search your own machine, which it can now do, and
hence make the corporate harp-l history available.

Tony,

You can use google. When you go to http://www.google.com use the "site" and "inurl" qualifiers to aim the search at the archive. Here's an example looking for "overblow".

overblow site:harp-l.org inurl:pipermail/harp-l/

When you click on the following link it will expand to the example search. http://tinyurl.com/9bkvh I see dates back to 1993.

Peace and music,
Dave
