RE: [Harp-L] Personal Monitors

Hey Folks,

Does anybody know of a kind of personal instrument monitor that I could
buy? By personal monitor I mean one that would monitor my amp and got to
an ear-plug/ear-phone type thing so that others wouldn't hear it. I
think this would be great as it would allow me to put my amp out front
and still be able to hear what I'm doing. If anybody knows where I
could get a look at something like this let mw know. Thanks.

Sam Blancato, Pittsburgh

I'm a crass amateur when it comes to amplified playing etc. but I do play in noisy settings and have severe difficulty hearing myself at times, but what I feel is that I have to solve this in ways other than cutting myself off from other musicians by putting something in my ears. I may have to move somewhere else or put my amp in a different position, but I can't conceive isolating myself in any way from the other players - I need to hear them as much as I need to hear myself.
