RE: [Harp-L] New Orleans

You are getting there a few weeks too early before the Ponderosa Stomp and
the Jazz fest. There is a roots blues riverboat cruise and jam that sounds
promising. Also check out my pals Little Oscar and the Bluescats. They have
a local jam that attracts many fine musicians who tour nationally. Their
guitarist Big Daddy is a good friend of mine very solid, no flash and
extremely well versed to help a harp player. Kenny Neal is based there but I
don't know his tour schedule particularly after the tragic loss of his
sister. Hawkeye Herman is another guitarist who is harp friendly for
acoustic playing. Hope this helps.

Hey all,

heading to New Orleans this weekend. probably won't
have time to take in any harp shows, but i'm still
curious to know if anything worthwhile is going on so
i can reconsider my schedule ;) so... any harp events
this weekend i shouldn't miss?

   thanks to all,
