[Harp-L] dead addreses

Periodically Mailman (no studly caps) will purge addresses it thinks are
no longer active. It compiles the purge list via the mechanism of
counting bounces from an address then suspending that addresse's
subscription and trying reminder notes for an interval. After a pre set
number of attempts the address is purged. We try to set these paramaters
conservatively and we're not trying to bump anyone who wants to belong to
the list. Mailman recently unsubscribed a good 20 or so addresses in
masse. I'd seen them get disabled so I wasn't surprised but 20 is a lot
of addressses. A lot from the old attbi domain. If your posting
privileges just disappeared it's a good bet that your address was purged.
Either check your subscription via the web based interface available at
www.harp-l.org or www.harp-l.com or simply drop me a line by replying to
this message and I'll assist you in any way that I am able to. Please do
remeber the list only groks plain text so if you're sending html only with
no plain text component your post will get filtered. Multipart mimes as
always are acceptable.
