I have received information that one of my  live shows is now on the 
Live Music Archive

On July 12th,  I was asked to perform with the Pastorius brothers, 
Felix and Julius, for a show at Alligator Alley in Ft Lauderdale, Fl.

For those of you not familiar with the Pastorius name, Jaco Pastorious 
(the father of Felix and Julius) is regarded as one of the worlds 
greatest electric bass players. I knew Jaco in the 80's when I lived in 
NYC working at the Power Station recording studio (where jaco was 
recording WORD OF MOUTH with Toots) and other artists. Jaco would come 
to my loft to sleep sometimes and we would jam.

Therefore it was an honor to be asked to perform with the Pastorious 
Big Band last year (performing 3 views of a secret) and an additional 
honor to perform, last week, with the WAY OF THE GROOVE, the band 
formed by his two sons..

Recalling the epic sounds of the original lineup of the WORD OF MOUTH  
ensemble, I was asked, once again, to reprise the iconic footsteps of 
Toots and perform for this Archive.org recording.

THE CHICKEN

This particular show (unlike the Big Band) was totally unrehearsed. I 
did not know what to expect or what songs (or keys) until each song 
began. This is how the brothers like it, raw and spontaneous.

I think there was some magic from Jaco in the room that night.

Once again, thrilled to be a harmonica player.
