there's a surprisingly good article on the notion of bands 
who allow or encourage live recording of their shows, and
the effects on their business in USA Today (McPaper).

might be interesting perspective for those of you pros who've
considered allowing taping and trading, archive.org, etc.
or those who haven't, for that matter.  good examination
of pros and cons.
