Re: [Harp-L] Beyer mics/WAS Low Impedance Volume Control

G's absolutely right and I've said it before that a Mexican Made 545 will smoke the Fireball and all the other new brand name so called harp mics. The new modern day "Harp Mic" is just a glittering generality by big companies that fool the unknowing. Profit and $$$$$ signs are all they see. --- On Sat 12/10, G < gigs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > wrote:From: G [mailto: gigs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]To: harp-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx: Sun, 11 Dec 2005 17:50:43 +1300Subject: Re: [Harp-L] Beyer mics/WAS Low Impedance Volume ControlWith the recommendations to get a Green Bullet or JT30 (or Blues Blaster)mic, I think its worth pointing out that the modern Shure 520DX GreenBullet, and the modern Hohner Blues Blaster do not have the same elementas the original ones - with mostly disappointing results. Most of the decent bullets that give "that tone", whatever that might befor any individual, can only be bought second hand. One mic that you can buy new today which has a heap of power and tone, would be the
Shure 545SD Unidyne III mic.Cheers,-- G.http://www.angelfire.com/music/harmonica/amplified.html_______________________________________________Harp-L is sponsored by SPAH, http://www.spah.orgHarp-L@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx://harp-l.org/mailman/listinfo/harp-l
