Re: [Harp-L] Fw: Re: Digest Number 2096 XB-40 and Jazz on diatonic

Hi Ken,

well, the chromatic has all notes ready, this is true. But there are several
examples of people playing the diatonic harmonica both in a jazz context and
classical music, with as many sharps and flats you wish. And being accepted
and respected by other fellow musicians. Of course, it is not easy to do
this, and there are very few examples. But it is, also of course, a matter
of training and of taste. The chromatic harmonica has a very distinct sound,
as does the diatonic. And they are different instruments, with their
positive points and negative points. So, one can choose either way or either
instrument, and this is fine so.

All the best,
Fernando, on vacation in Brazil.
