RE: [Harp-L] prtoblems with 2 draw 1 draw

Robert,
1) tell them to say the letter E and hold the sound and then tell them to freeze and don't move any mouth and tongue parts. The tongue will be at the rough of the mouth. This is pretty much the position your mouth will be in to play that note.2) Now, tell them to grab the harp and say the letter E while drawing. That will be the unbent note for those holes, the note in hole 1 draw is D and 2 hole draw is G.3) A few more vowels and they'll have all the bent notes as well. On the 1 hole draw have them say E, Uh, O ( the Uh is almost like the short vowel sound for the letter a, like ahhhhhh) it's right in between there. Either one works. They aren't ready for the 3 hole draw with 4 notes, trust me, although they can still practice it for muscle memory.
4) Do what the Iceman said and breathe easy and smooth.that should help.
