That is true, but only for a handful of live performances including the wild 
one at the Newport Folk Festival.  Dylan hired The Hawks (who later became 
The Band) soon after Newport for his tour through England and the U.S. at 
which there were so many boos, and he used session players for his electric 
albums except on Planet Waves, which was backed by The Band.
