Smoke, I generally use a clip-on contact mic' when I am tuning a harmonica
with my high-end Sieko tuner. There is no chance for any cross-interference
with other ambient sounds with a clip-on mic'. The clip even helps hold the
pieces together while you check the tuning, as I think Tim Moyer has pointed
out (thanks once again, Tim :).

Even if you are saying that it's not the ambient sound of your heart in the
room, but that it is your heart beat modulating your breath as you play the
harp, I think using a clip-on mic' would eliminate the problem. I do have
to add that I have never seen such a pulse-related phenomenon with ~my~
Sieko St-1100, clip-on or built-in mic'. And I have a ~big~ heart! ;)

When's the last time you had your blood pressure checked, ole harp buddy?
(Seriously!)
