RE: [Harp-L] Stealth recording (was: recording gig rig)



There are many venues and or bands that do not allow the recording of
their shows.  There are also many "bootleggers" that do not care
about the policies and want to record the shows for personal reasons,
thusly stealth recording is necessary.  Many people clip these pencil
eraser mics to their eyeglasses or shrit collars. The mics are routed
to a small recording device, MiniDisc and the M-Audio Microtracker
are very good for this.  The new class of iPods can also be used for
stereo recordings. 

Personally, I do not understand why bands have issues with taping. In
my experience all it does is create a larger fan base and a reason
for fans to go to the show...
