Re: [Harp-L] Gig Attired

No, that's the band leader's problem. My drummer was 20 minutes late
to the gig last sunday and dressed in a wife beater and shorts - most
unacceptable for the gig on sunday. I got into his face about his
antics. He fired back at me for being "on the rag". He lost his
tips that night and two gigs this weekend. If he does anything like
that again, including for yelling at me for his tardiness he'll be
gone. It's my issue, not his and it will be a bigger problem if I
have to fire him but I will. Drummers, like guitarists are a dime a
dozen. As much as I will hate having to train a new drummer it's
worth it because I can not afford a loose cannon in my trio.

That's the bottom-line for most bands.
