RE: [Harp-L] Is there gonna be a harmonica summit this year?

Another summit was in the works but my biggest sponsor pulled out and
I personally do have the finances to cover losses like I did with the
last one. The economy is simply not strong enough to get major
corporations to give money at the amounts I received for the last
summit.

On a personal note, my musical focused has shifted. I'm making a push
to become fully independant as a musician and harmonica player. I
absolutely applaud fellows like Paparozzi, Singer, Galison, Ricci who
play harmonica fulltime. I've got a kick ass band and we're already
one of the dominate bands in Phoenix. We're working nearly fulltime
locally and are planning tours all over the US. So look for us in
the near future.

I also had a very favorable meeting with an A&R guy from Capitol
Records this past weekend so something will be breaking soon. I'm
happy to be playing my own music at such a high level. So here's yet
another shameless plug for my CD-
Check it out-

IF you don't like it you can send it to me and I will REFUND your
money. My music isn't for everybody as Ben Felton will echo but the
right people seem to like it, not to mention that I really do it for
myself anyway.

We're hard at work recording the next CD which will be loads better
than the first.

Maybe there will be another summit and maybe not. I hope but this
year and possibly next year are out of the question. In the mean
time, I hope to see you in a town near you.

Peace,

Chris Michalek
