[Harp-L] RE: James Harman

Hi -

On Torqueflite 727 (from the album Black & White),
James Harman himself switches back and forth between a
C chromatic & a G diatonic harp. There are several
other examples of other great players doing this,
noted below along with the layout....

Torqueflite 727
--starts out with two choruses on chromatic
--next two choruses on diatonic
--switches back to chromatic for the rest of the song

Little Walter - Thunderbird
(on the 2-CD set Blues With A Feeling)
--starts out with 3 choruses on diatonic
--switches and plays remainder of song on chromatic

William Clarke - The Pleaser
(from Can't You Hear Me Calling You - early Clarke LP)
--starts out with two choruses on chromatic
--switches to diatonic for three choruses
--finishes out with some more chromatic

Hope this was informative
