It's possible - but I could have sworn this mic was made by some guy
in Europe. I just recall a post about it four or five years ago -
which of course I can't find, lol. The mic itself looked like it was
made out of copper - like the bell mouthpiece of an old phone...

i spoke to kim about this mic recently. he had lost it for a while, then
found it at the bottom of one of his gear bags. it is an old
astatic,customized by dennis gruenling. he said dennis would not even
reveal what element was inside!!!
