[Harp-L] Amp Line Out

I've been gigging with the "Franken-amp" a little lately, and this past
Friday had a very pleasant experience. I had built the cabinet with a lo-z
drum mic installed inside the cabinet and an XLR jack in the side to make
it easier to remic the cabinet, but was having a hard time getting it to
work satisfactorily. So at this gig I ran a splitter from the line out of
the effects unit and ran one side as normal to the power amp and ran one
line into a direct box to the PA. This let the sound man have the same
signal that was being amplified through the cabinet, but at a line level he
could work with. This meant I was free to adjust my stage volume to suit
the level of the songs without screwing up the mix. It worked like a
dream. I could hear myself on stage, and the audience could hear me
through the PA, and I stayed out of the monitors. Thanks to everyone who
helped me figure out how to set this up (a real "Duh!" question). I'm
using the same setup in my home studio to run into the mixer without
amplification.
