Re: [Harp-L] Filisko harps--another perspective...

Many people talk about the expensive price of custom Filisko harmonica, but I would just like to remind that these harmonicas are not that expensive. All Filiskos are great and some are just a little bit more epensive than the price of a Hohner Meisterklasse in France. Meanwhile, Filiskos are quite much better.

What I do not understand is that some people will not hesitate to get 15 Meisterklass ($86 each in France) and will hesitate to get 14 Filiskos for the same amount. I mean, even if Filiskos are a bit more expensive, they are not THAT expensive. I have Joe's pricelist and you can get Jimmy and Richard pricelist on the website and the harmonicas are far to be 20 or 30 times the price a factory made model.
the basic custom (still a great instrument) is $85 and the and the $175 is a 364 Marine Band, so not a standrard 10 holes diatonic.

Well, meanwhile, I had put this thread on harp-l, not to talk about the worth of buying a Filisko (because I already knew it worth it) but more to know about the method.
Everybody is talking about FILISKO METHOD, but what is the difference between Filisko Method and other customizers method?
I mean, Joe, RIchard and Jimmy are not E.T. from Mars! They are humans, so if they can do that, I think that some other people can, and I would be very interested to be one among these folks.
