RE: [Harp-L] Re: Blues-N...(was: Jason Ricci)

I'm sorry if I offended you or anyone else for that matter. But please
believe it was meant as a joke. I hate nazis & would never think of my wife
as one.

Hi all,

though I'd read for the first time about this term a few years ago in an
interview with Jerry Portnoy for the german Harmonica Player magazine, I
always have a real bad feeling with it.

> Last Saturday my wife (the blues nazi)& I went to see Jason(...)

while I can understand the intention of such words, I think that the
chosen word is not appropriat to the subject. Call them blues-purists,
-traditionalists or -dogmatics or whatever.

IMO the use of the N...-word is somethimg like to be not aware what
those people have done. They have killed millions of people because they
didn't want to follow their ideology or to their ideas for a certain
kind of arts (and music).

Don't forget: the Nazis were (and are) bad, a billion times more bad
than any musicians who think that they know the only way to play a
certain kind of music. Maybe they are a little bit nerve-racking but
they are no killers!

just my 2 euro-cents

Otto
