In the preference settings for your mail program, you should be able to
select "plain text" under compose messages. The other choice is HTML. Harp-l
doesn't do HTML, so if HTML is selected, it adds a lot of gobble-di-gook in
the message that takes up space and your time to have to sort through it.

try it. In outlook, I went to Edit; Preferences; Compose then checked plain
text. Pretty simple if you just try.
