I never expected such a response!!

I promised to send the Handbook out to anyone from Tuesday until Friday 
morning.

I sent it to everyone around the world, some twice for those who could 
not download a pdf file (I sent it as a Word document).

The final tally? 138 people now have the Handbook which, hopefully, can 
be the catalyst for change and the popular legitimization our our 
instrument in our time.

It is up to us- to transcend the limitations of our instrument and 
environment. If Ray Charles could do it and Muddy Waters and others can 
do it, so can we.

I am going to ask everyone who has a copy of my Handbook to keep me 
informed of their experiences with this book- if you find that your 
life has improved because of the book, please take a moment, from time 
to time, to write me so I can keep track of everyone's progress. I will 
be posting these milestones of excellence on my website in the future 
with your stories and fables. PLEASE, KEEP ME POSTED as the months and 
years roll by.

Also, if you have any suggestions that are not in the book, please 
write me (and copy the discussion groups) of your unique ideas so that 
I may include them (with proper credits) in a future print edition of 
the book I am intending to work on in 2005.

I have had a few kind individuals email me that I should have done this 
differently--instead of giving them for free and sending them 
individually, I should have charged five dollars, at least (138 
copies), or I should have posted it as a download on my website to get 
traffic there. I turned these ideas down as I was not seeking personal 
profit at the expense of getting these in the hands of YOU.

  The fact of the matter is that YOU are the star of this show. It is 
the collective power of our harmonica conscienceness and shared 
learning that will produce the next advancement of the harmonica. We 
need more people pushing the envelope, more rick eppings, toots 
thielemans, richard hunters, winslows, michaleks, icemen, mitch weiss', 
raphaels, paparozzi's, lee oscars, john poppers, doug tates, danny 
wilsons, filiskos (and company), william clarks, butterfields, tommy 
reillys, serranos, roger gonzales', tolaks, kim wilsons, piazzas, 
hohners, adlers, don les's, gallisons, jellys, fingers and other people 
willing to put in the supreme effort to create a new paradigm (thanks 
Ice). It is not enough to simply create and transform for we must seek 
out fresh markets for these experiences!!!

And if I were to somehow feel that I helped, then it would go a long 
way to help repay all the inspiration and power I have received from 
you. I am totally blessed with lots of gigs, health,  a beautiful 
relationship with Natasha and----(drumroll please)---I AM CLOSING ON MY 
FIRST HOUSE TOMORROW!!!!

In fact, I have had enough gigs that I have been able to hire 12 
musicians each week for the last few years in hotels and clubs because 
of these "laws" that are in my book.

In addition, further blessings, I just got an email this morning from 
Digitech that I have become a Digitech Artist due to my sponsorship and 
harmonica adaption of the Digitech vocal 400. I also got a phone call 
today from one of the most renowned jazz guitarists in the world about 
an upcoming project.

I am so happy. Happiness is contagious so I pass it on.
