RE: Suzuki reviews (long)

From: "G." (writing about Suzuki's spot-welded reeds):

Hi Steve,
It allows Suzuki to get better tolerances with automated assembly.

Thanks G (and Pat)

I'll harvest and change reeds on my Echos and Sp20s to keep the harps going,
but I don't bother with Lee Oskars, as, by the time a reed finally gives out
(years!), I reckon it's time for a new set. (plus they're so much harder to
remove anyway with my iron-age tools). If I thought Suzuki Blues Masters
lasted as long as LOs I wouldn't mind the welded reeds. Even better if
replacement reedplates were available. Maybe I'll give the one I've got a
really hard ride for a session or three and see what happens.

Cheers!

Steve
