I've had reeds in the upper register of my dimi-tuned Herings go out of alignment for no apparent reason between one playing session and the next. The rivets weren't loose, either, to judge by the amount of force necessary to realign them! Presumably the spot- welded ones are not going to do that: I notice Chmel in his review of the Suzukis found they were perfectly aligned. - -Keith
