Ding ding ding ding ding - I think we have a winner.  I've got one of the cases he mentions, or something pretty similar.  Hmmmmmmm....

For you other gear sluts, like me, who also perform as guitarists or keyboard players, the heavy duty music stands make *excellent* onstage stands for a variety of stuff.  As a guitarist, I've used mine to keep a big rackmount-type effects unit within knob twiddling distance (and could even tilt the stand so that the knobs were angled up towards me), I've used one for a keyboard stand in the home studio, I've used it for a merch table to hold CD's for sale and even used one as an impromptu bar table one night when someone kept sending rounds of shots up to the bandstand.  Much better than spilling tequila all over the top of your amp.  And, if you're playing the kind of joints I used to play in Detroit and out on the road, they're darned handy if a major brawl breaks out and heads towards your gear.
