[Harp-L] Re: Original Voices on Harp Today

This just goes to show how much this is subject to individual taste.

The first time I saw Howard Levy he was sitting in with Little Brother
Montgomery (who was also sitting in with late Mighty Joe Young, if my
memory serves correctly.) He stomped all over the efforts of the
legendary pianist. I had never seen Howard Levy before and walked away
thinking who the hell was this guy. He certainly didn't seem to be
incredibly sensitive (or aware) that he was on stage with one of the
most amazing Blues pianists of all time. I didn't walk away being a big
fan. In fact, I left kind of pissed because that was my only time
seeing Little Brother Montgomery. He passed away a month or so later.
