Bebop Blues:

Tenor Madness & Blue Monk both work well for non-OB players-(hey get it 
together--see Dennis Gruenling longhairedhippybadassplayerfromjersey for a 
shining example)

without OBs--you just have to displace the octave of the melody. This will 
sound good when playing with someone else who is playing the melody in the 
correct octaves.
