Re: [Harp-L] re: was Juke, now is groove

Bob,

I was just going to bring what Larry taught us at Jon Gindick's camp which
has really helped me feel the groove of a shuffle. He calls it something
like the sacred Hut tah.... ie.....hut tuh hu tah hut tah hut tah.
The secret lies in the spaces between the two t s, chopping off or pausing
sharply after each Hut. Now I start each song in my head with a Hut tah
Hut tuh Hut tah Hut tah before I count out loud to the band 1 2 3 4
etc...And what a difference it has made in my playing both harp and guitar!
