Well, call me a cheapskate, then, but I vastly prefer a folded piece of 
abrasive over the tool.  It's much easier to adjust to a new, virgin piece of 
the coating.  Making a new one is a matter of cutting and folding a strip of 
paper.  I will admit that it might not be as easy to localize as the sanding 
wand, but that's never been much of a problem if you have a support for the 
reed that shields the adjacent reeds.
