Country music singer, guitar and harmonica player Pappy Gube Beaver was born
on this day in 1919.  Beaver signed with Capitol records in 1945, did two
recording sessions, got drunk, thrown in jail, found religion and quit music
to become a full-time minister.

Folk/Rock singer-songwriter, guitar and harmonica player John B. Sebastian
Jr. was born on this day in 1944.  The son of the famed Classical harmonica
player, John carved out an important niche in the history of Rock music by
being an important part of the Cambridge Folk music scene in the early
1960's, then by founding the Lovin' Spoonful.  He's also had a very
successful solo career.
