Blues singer, guitar and harmonica player David "Honeyboy" Edwards was born
on this day in 1915.  Edwards began playing music when he was in his teens
and had teamed up with Big Joe Williams around 1932.  Over the next few
years he worked with Charlie Patton, Robert Johnson, Walter Horton and The
Memphis Jug Band.

Blues harmonica player Jaybird Coleman died on this day in 1950.  Coleman
worked primarily around the Birmingham, Alabam area and did numerous
recordings as a solo artist and with local area bands.

Birthday greetings go out to list member Dennis clark, who was born on this
day in 1952 and to Brantley Dantzler who was born five years ago today,

Blues drummer and harmonica player Grace Brim died on this day in 1999.  She
was married to harmonica player John Brim and recorded with him as well as
Roosevelt sykes, Big Maceo, Sunnyland Slim and others.
