Re: Mic cup

Please note: message attached

Hi,
Ideally, you want the tightest cup you can physically manage, but not gripping the mic and harp so hard that you'll be crushing the harp and making your hands ache. One of the more common things to try is place the mic in a few different postions until you get as close to a really tight cup as you can, and keeping it comfortable and balanced in your hands.

The Green Bullet can be a bit on the heavy side for some people, and some players, especially some of whom I met in the 70's, used to solder in the GB cartridges into the Astatic JT30 shells, which are alot lighter in terms of weight, and also to used the now long discontinued Switchcraft part#329 volume control, which you couldn't use on the original GB's (they didn't come with volume controls back then).

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,
