Blues singer, guitar and harmonica player Robert Lucas was born on this day
in 1962.  Lucas began playing the harmonica as a teenager and has recorded
several solo albums as well as playing with Canned Heat and his teacher,
Bernie Pearl.

Blues singer and harmonica player Big Mama Willie Mae Thornton died on this
day in 1984.  Thornton is best known for her early renditions of "Hound Dog"
and "Ball and Chain" way before they became hits for Rock stars.  She
occasionally played the harmonica as well.
