hey Bill,

  thanks for the post. i hope as many people read it
as possible, as i see way too much mystique
surrounding the whole issue of overblows. it would be
a shame if some people never tried playing them simply
because they felt it was above their heads.
  now, i have to confess, i don't play overblows. as
far as i know, i can only play one: the 4hole, on an A
harp. it just so happens that, where i'm at with my
playing, i don't feel the need or even desire to
concentrate on OB's. i've got other things i want to
be learning right now (i mean that, i have a harp in
hand! ;). but i do think everyone should try it, at
least. they're not mystical or magical -- they're just
another technique. i found a good tutorial online from
Chris Michalek. you can google it, i'm sure. and, if
you're really serious about overblows you HAVE to get
Howard Levy's video. just buy it already.
