Humor, was Re: Sariel Proves the Axiom



It's important to remember that what's blatantly funny between two beer
drinking buddies over a cold one often doesn't translate well into print.
In person, we can see the gestures, raised eyebrows, mock macho swagger,
rolling eyes, and other indicators that it's not to be taken seriously.  On
the net, we see only the words.  That's one reason we have smilies :-),
winkies ;-), and such - to help others know that "It's a joke, laugh,
dangit!!"

Besides, this list also goes to Germany, where there is no humor.
