One last idea - Devil in a Woodpile, featuring Rick Sherry, might interest a number of conventioneers.  A very talented and quirky group with great instrumentation (harmonica, National Steel guitar, tuba/string bass) and a different focus (Americana and pre-WWII blues - acoustic).
