Country singer, guitar and harmonica player Tex Morton was born on this day
in 1916.  Morton was one of the biggest Country-Western stars on the
Australian music scene for several decades from the 1930's until his death
in 1983.

Country singer and harmonica player Jon Hager was born on this day in 1946.
Hager was half of the hager twins who were regular cast members on the
Hee-Haw television show during it's entire run.

Australian Chromatic harmonica master Horrie Dargie died on this day in
1999.  Dargie began his career in the 1930's, playing with various harmonica
bands and after the war he worked primarily as a soloist.
