Re: On harp instrumentals

I've released two CDs consisting of nothing but instrumentals. (Well,
there was one vocal track on the second CD.) Not only that, both CDs
consisted of nothing but compositions and arrangements for harmonica,
solo. (Well, there were two tracks with guitar on the second CD.) So if
harmonica instrumentals are dull, those CDs must be black holes.

However . . .
Most of Beethoven's music is instrumental.
Almost all of Charlie Parker's music is instrumental.
Almost all of Larry Adler's music is instrumental.
Almost all of Toots Thielemans's music is instrumental.

So what's wrong with instrumentals?

P.S. I'd invite everyone to check out samples of my instrumentals at my
website at the URL above, but it's still down. Should be back up any
day now; I will advise when it is.
