Okay, I've got it. With wooden bodied harps soaking in water caused the
wood to swell and thereby create a better seal with the plates and cover.
With plastic bodied harps soaking in "ice" water causes the metal plates
and reed covers to contract and create a better seal with the body. We'd
better not purchase any solid brass bodied instrument with brass plates
and brass covers...then what? Sorry, back to under that thar' rock.
