Harp-L Tape

Dominic,

There was, indeed, talk of a tape being made - I offered to help out, as did a
couple of guys in the US, but the whole thing got bogged down in talk of the
technical quality, distribution etc., of the finished product and then the topic
died, for want of something better to do, I suppose. I had always envisaged the
tape as something by Harp-L'ers for Harp-L'ers, and on that basis, I will repeat
my original offer - send a cassette tape containing the best quality recording
you can manage of the ONE (that means more than zero and less than two) track
that you would like other list members to hear (include track title and the
person/band you wish to see credited). I will compile the best quality tape I
can from the material received, in order of receipt and making no qualitative
judgements as to the playing - when we have a complete tape (length depends on
the response) I will undertake to supply same to list members at cost plus p&p -
if you wish to make a contribution towards my time and trouble, that will also
be gratefully received. I don't think I can say fairer than that, so get blowin'
guys, and snail mail your tapes, *containing one track only* (if they contain
more than one, the first track will be the one I use) to:

Chris - apologies if I should have consulted you on this first - Steve
