Chicago Harp Fans... Koko Taylor's New Club in Chicago

No... I do not work for Koko Taylor's new blues mecca in Chicago,
but I am here to tell you (blues and harp fans in particular)
that this place is a real treat.

As you may know, a restaraunt/bar management company based out
of Chicago just opened Koko Taylor's Blues Bar at State & Divsion
in Chicago. Live blues 7 nites a week; good talent.

Although cleaner and nicer looking than most of the blues bars
I've trudged through in Chicago, this place still has character.
They have video monitors throughout the place and play video
"clips" of various blues artists... Most of the clips are really
old, vintage looking stuff.

What really freaked me out was a clip of Sonny Boy Williamson II
singing and playing harp. I'm sure most of you cats have checked
out still photographs of this legendary bluesman, with his mystical
voice and eerie harp. But, to see a video of the man ala MTV was
so freaky I couldn't believe it.

If you're in Chicago April 20/21 stop by Koko's and catch Shirley
King and the Bad Boys of the Blues featuring Shirley King (daughter
of B.B. King) and myself on harp!
