...like playing draw-note octaves on upper holes of diatonic, or wide intervals
on chromatic.  Folks have suggested opening the jaw wide, relaxing, putting the
harp way in the mouth.

I would add, smile.  The smile muscles, those that let you say "Eeee", will
help you get those wide intervals.
