On the subject of always breaking the number 4 draw reed: I'd say this is idiosyncratic to your style of playing. I tend to flat the number 4 blow more often than not. I've met people who destroy the number 3 draw. My guess is that rather than being abnormal breaking the 4 draw is normal. FJM
