The tubes that were obsolete in the Ampeg were probably 7027 that you can replace with EL34's if you rewire the socket and rebias the amp. the other ones to look out for are KT88's. They don't exist anymore also. The KT88's that are sold today aren't really the same as the older ones and the amp needs work to sound decent with the newer tubes. FJM
