Line up 6 different SM58's and play them all thru the same amp. Chances are you will find at least one that sound a little different. The same goes for any mic. Line a dozen JT30's and you'll find one that sounds "sweeter" to your ears. How well the impedence of your mic matches the impedence of you amp will effect the sound of your mic too. Tim
