======== JEOPARDY THEME

The name of this tune is "Change of Key," and it changes key
several times. But if you want to render it accurately, just
change harps when the key changes. By the way, I've seen it
published in books of TV themes.

Crossharp is not a good position for this tune, unless you're
good at overblowing. Straight harp is the best, for two reasons:
It has a major seventh, and it has a minor sixth that you can get
by bending draw 6. Here it is diagrammed:

4 /  /	/  /	/  /  d     /  /  /  /	  /.  '  '  '  '  '
4 6B 7B 6B 4B | 6B 7B 6B  | 6B 7B 6B 7B | 8B  8D 7B 7D 6D b6D |
			    .
/  /  /  /    /  /  d	  ' /  '  /  /	  /   '  '~/  /
6B 7B 6B 4B | 6B 7B 6B	|   7B 6D 6B 5D | 5B  4D 4B	 ||

6B etc refers to the holes number and whether it is blow or draw.
The b in front of 6B at the end of measure 4 means bend down one
semitone. | is a bar line, and rhythm is indicated with the stuff
above the hole/breath indications.

' = eighth note  (1/2 beat)
/ = quarter note (1 beat)
/. = dotted quarter ( 1-1/2 beats)
d = half note	 (2 beats)
~ ties two note values together into a longer note.

Where there is rhythm with no hole/breath underneath, this is a
rest - the time goes by without anything played.

======== Overblow Gaps

What Joe Filisko does (you can read this in HIP NO. 4) to set
offset gaps for optimal response is to set the gap between the
tip of the reed and the reedplate at the width of the thickness
of the reed at its tip.

This is a GENERAL rule. For harder playing, you may want to set
it higher. He generally sets it a little higher for those who
like to overblow AND play Oskars or Huangs, as these tend to be
more sensitive than Hohners.

The double thick reedplate, if anything, tend to make overblowing
a little harder. I don't know what Joe does to compensate for
this. This may help explain why Howard Levy generally walks
around with both double and single thick Filisko-customized
Marine Bands - single thick for overblow response, double thick
for big tone.

======== Ultimos

As far as I understand it, Oskar doesn't carry the Ultimos
becuase they don't say Lee Oskar on them.

Why not ask Kevin to get them from Norman Ives? They have some
kind of reciprocal marketing agreement for precisely this purpose
- to make stuff available on both sides of the pond that is
usually available only on one. Call Kevin and bug himn if you're
