Re: Tongue Blocking, Tone & Paul de Lay

Just to add to the above comments. I am glad to see that someone else
noticed this in Paul deLay. I thought it was just me. Being raised in
Portland, where Paul is from, I was familiar with his band Brown Sugar, but
I was floored to hear "The Other One" and then "Paulzilla" come out. This
guy has come up with some of the most amazing melodic concepts I have ever
heard in my life. He is a real breath of fresh air, and that comment about
being a cross between Toots Thielman and Little Walter? I wish I would have
said that. It couldn't be more accurate. His earlier stuff is some real
bitchin' get down rockin blues harp stuff too! Lastly, it is indeed a sad
note that this talented indiviual is at this time incarcerated on a drug
charge. We all make mistakes and Paul is paying for his. We at
MississippiSaxophone wish him well and all the luck in the world. We support
Paul deLay 100% and hope that you can too! If anyone would like to write him
I will post his address. Yes sadly, the band plays on as "The No deLay Band".
